Ένα δωδεκάχρονο αγόρι, ο μεγαλύτερος αδελφός του και ο πατέρας τους οδηγούν μέσα στη νύχτα προς μια νέα πόλη κι ένα νέο σπίτι, ανυπόμονοι για μια νέα αρχή. Εχουν μόλις κερδίσει τον «πόλεµο», όπως αποκαλεί ο πατέρας την πικρή διαµάχη με τη μητέρα των παιδιών για το διαζύγιο και την κηδεµονία, και είναι γεμάτοι ενθουσιασµό από την προοπτική της κοινής τους ζωής.
